| Annie Lennox's parents include Dorothy Farquharson as well as Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox was a student at Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She was a harpsichord student and the flautist piano for three years. She was able to survive by surviving on a student stipend, and work part-time jobs. Lennox was able to make a change in her career path when she was dissatisfied with her inexperience and lack of talent the same way as others Royal Academy students. Lennox was initially a flute-player within the band Dragons Playground. But she quit when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980, she was the vocalist in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. There she made friends with Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox started work on Diva in 1992, her debut solo album. The album was hugely successful both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist was released in October 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's favorite blues, jazz, and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. This E.P. is a companion piece to her art installation in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You Go... It's the first time she has released an independent album. Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish musician and political activist. After a brief success as a member of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 1980s. The year 1992 was the year Lennox started her own solo career by releasing her debut album Diva that produced a number of hit tracks, including Why and Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It features cover versions of some songs, including The No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale.
